VACCINATION SERVICES
When to Schedule
Vaccinations begin right after birth and continue through adolescence.
Follow the National Immunization Schedule (NIS) and any WHO/ICMR-recommended vaccines.
Additional vaccines (e.g., flu, HPV, typhoid, chickenpox, meningococcal) may be advised depending on your child’s age, health, and travel needs.
Catch-up schedules are available for children who missed doses.
What is the Purpose
To protect children from life-threatening infections such as polio, measles, diphtheria, hepatitis, meningitis, and HPV.
To strengthen immunity during the most vulnerable stages of growth.
To reduce disease outbreaks and create community protection (herd immunity).
To minimize school absenteeism and long-term health complications.
To provide parental counseling about vaccine safety, side effects, and future boosters.
What to Expect
👩⚕️ Prior to the Appointment
Parents are guided about which vaccine is due according to the child’s age.
Doctors explain dosage, possible mild reactions, and aftercare.
Pre-vaccine screening ensures the child is fit for immunization (no severe illness or allergy).
🏥 On the Day of Appointment
Vaccines are administered in a child-friendly environment by trained pediatric staff.
Proper hygiene and cold-chain maintenance ensure safe and effective vaccination.
The child is observed for a short period post-vaccination for any immediate reactions.
📋 After the Appointment
Parents receive an updated vaccination card/record.
Guidance is given on managing minor side effects (fever, swelling, soreness).
Next appointment is scheduled to keep the child’s immunization on track.
